Horizon Construction Ltd, a leading infrastructure development company established in April 2007, specializes in road construction, housing, energy, water resources, and construction equipment. To strengthen our team and support ongoing operations, we are seeking qualified, experienced, and motivated professionals for the following positions:
Environmentalist
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct or coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments for proposed road projects.
- Identify potential environmental risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to local, regional, and national environmental laws and regulations.
- Obtain necessary environmental permits and ensure project compliance.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure environmental protection measures are being implemented effectively.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to identify non-compliance or areas of improvement.
- Develop and implement plans to minimize ecological disturbance (e.g., habitat protection, noise reduction, air and water quality preservation).
- Work on reforestation, erosion control, and wildlife protection programs where applicable.
- Liaise with government agencies, environmental NGOs, and local communities to address environmental concerns.
- Participate in public consultations and provide expert environmental advice.
- Prepare environmental reports, documentation for permits, and compliance statements.
- Maintain records of environmental monitoring data and incidents.
- Promote the use of eco-friendly construction materials and methods.
- Advise on waste management, energy use, and carbon footprint reduction during construction.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Ecology, or a related field.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
5 years of experience
